Terms and conditions
The framework for using the service, as a template that needs a lawyer.
A working draft, not a final text
The text below is a working draft. It is not a contract and it has not been legally reviewed. Do not sign it and do not hand it to anybody to sign.
What it covers
Access to the CallAgent platform: the console, the API, the voice gateway and related services.
It does not cover the services of the providers you configure. That relationship stays yours, including their terms and their invoices, if you use your own credentials.
The account and the organization
An account belongs to a person, and access to data runs through membership of an organization. You are responsible for what the people you give access to do.
Credentials are kept safe. API keys can be rotated at any time, and a compromised key must be rotated immediately.
What you may not do
Calls to people who have not consented where the law requires consent. Illegal content. Attempts to get around the technical limits or the isolation between organizations.
Responsibility for the calling rules of each country stays yours. The platform shows you the rules and lets you override them with a switch; that switch does not move the responsibility.
Money
Usage is metered per event and written to an append-only ledger. A call starts only if the wallet can plausibly cover a minute of it.
Prices can change. A price change does not retroactively rewrite the period before it, because prices carry an effective date.
Limits
The service is provided as it is. There is currently no service level agreement with availability guarantees, because we do not yet have the history to build one from.
The liability limits have to be written here by a lawyer, with numbers. They are not there yet.
When it ends
You can close the account at any time. On closure, data is deleted according to the retention policy, and recordings in your own bucket stay with you.
Notice periods and what happens to unused credit have to be settled before publication.
